How to enter a competition
Entry to all competitions is performed electronically.
Digital captured images may be entered as a print or electronic digital image. Electronic images entered into a competition must have been saved as a JPEG.

Prints
It is required that you lodge an Electronic Digital Image with all your entries, even though you might be entering it in a Print Category. This is so that the audience can see your image projected on the screen while the judge is viewing the original print.
This digital version of the print has to be of the same size as the images submitted to the Digital categories ie, no larger than 1920 pixels on the horizontal side and 1080 pixels on the vertical side. The file should be no more than 2Mb in size.
The competitor’s name or any watermark should not appear on either the print nor the electronic copy submitted for competition.
Close off for all entries is on the Friday (11:59 pm) before the competition.
The prints must be handed into the competition committee for display and judging at the beginning of the competition night.
Prints may be printed at home or commercially processed.
The minimum print size is 6.5” x 4.5” (16.5cm x 11.5cm) or 29.25 square inches in area (190 square centimetres).
The maximum presentation size (including mount) is 20” x 16” (50.8cm x 40.6cm) or 320 square inches (2,062 square centimetres).
A competitor’s name on prints or digital image shall not be visible when such prints or images are viewed or projected in the normal manner.
All images must have been taken by the member.
All images must have a start as a dye-coupled negative, silver halide negative, colour reversal film or digital capture. This may be manipulated later in the printing stage or by using a computer.
Prints should be mounted but unmounted prints will be accepted.
Framed prints will not be accepted.
The back of each print must be clearly marked with the following:
Image title. This should be short and as concise as possible namely 30 characters or less including spaces etc.
The name of the entrant.
Monochrome Prints
Monochrome Prints (The monochrome section includes black & white prints, and prints completely toned in only one colour).
Colour Prints
The colour section includes all colour prints and prints completely in more than one colour, or partially toned, or having had the addition of one colour by any means.
Please do not forget to bring your prints along on the competition night and register and submit it to the competition committee for display and judging.
Electronic Digital Images (EDI)
Electronic Digital Images should have these maximum file dimensions:
1920 pixels on the horizontal side and 1080 pixels on the vertical side
The file should be no more than 2MB in size
The colour space for images should be sRGB IEC6 1966-2.1
The image must have been taken by the member.

Electronic images must be sent to the Club as a JPEG file.
Digital images may be black & white or colour or monochrome (completely toned n only one colour). In addition, images may be full colour or partially toned or having had the addition of more than one colour by any means.
